Developmental Concepts

The first few years of a child's life is an exciting time of growth and development. The many concepts that children master during this time are learned not by attending classes or listening to lectures obviously, but rather "caught" through simple conversations, everyday experiences and play. The purpose of ToddleToons is to provide fun, enjoyable experiences for babies and toddlers while also offering ideal opportunities for them to learn.

Some of the basic concepts learned in early childhood are:

   Cause and Effect
    Big and Little
    Up and Down
    Happy and Sad

Colors
    Shapes
    Body Parts
    Animals and their Sounds

ToddleToons exposes young children to these concepts as well as gives them ample opportunities to develop and practice their emerging language skills. Casually mention concepts during play ("There's a yellow balloon", "That's a big bubble", "He is going up", etc.) and lead your child in saying words or sentences that the games might inspire.

Although the games include suggestions for working on new concepts and skills, please be creative and improvise! After all, you know your child better than anyone and will be able to customize the activities to fit your child's needs.
